back to topTextbook Return - Save your receipt to get a refund
Minimester Refund Policy:
The last day to return textbooks for a full refund for minimester is July 30, 2010
the second day of class.
Fall 2010:
During the first week and a half of the semester, textbooks can be returned for a full refund
if you have the receipt and the books are not marked in.
Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, is the last day for a full refund on Fall 2010 textbooks and the last day to charge on your financial aid account.
- Western Civilization and Half Semester Classes:
- These books are returnable only during the first week of classes.
- Workshops, Special Programs, and Minimester Courses:
- The last day for a textbook refund is by the end of the second day of class.
- Text materials returned must be in the same condition as
when you purchased them:
- New books are unmarked (25% deducted if marked, bent, or torn).
- Shrink wrapped books or software must have the wrap unbroken.
- You must have the following:
- Student I.D. or driver's license.
- Valid sales receipt or financial aid receipt.
- If paid by credit card or Hawkeye Card, account will be credited.
At the end of the semester you can sell you books back to the bookstore. This is also known as textbook buyback. See details about selling your books.
General Return
Applies to non-course books, supplies, gifts, and clothing.1. Item has not been used.
2. Item is returned within 30 days of purchase with the receipt. (This does not apply to textbooks.)
3. Candy and study aids cannot be returned.
Replacements and Exchanges
Defective purchases, including textbook items, will be replaced whenever possible during the current semester. A sales receipt is required for the exchange.
Sale Items
1. Exchanges only: NO REFUNDS.
2. Item may be exchanged within 7 days, if not used, and accompanied by the receipt.
Software
1. Opened software may be exchanged if defective for the same item.
2. Refunds only on unopened software with the receipt. back to top
